China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks on the Boundary Question, highlighting ongoing diplomatic efforts to address border-related issues. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun shared at a regular press briefing that both nations are actively maintaining communication and are committed to executing agreements from their previous discussions.
The Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, is currently in New Delhi to participate in the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. This visit also provided an opportunity for Wang to meet with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, further underscoring the dedication of both countries to manage their border situation effectively.
Guo emphasized the stability of the overall situation along the China-India border, mentioning that the communication channels between the two sides are functioning well. Both nations are reportedly working to implement the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary discussions, which demonstrates a continued commitment to peaceful negotiations and cooperation.
The upcoming talks are anticipated to build on this progress, with efforts focused on managing border disputes and maintaining peace and stability in the region.
