Indian Mission in UAE Launches New Tech-Driven Appointment System for Services

In a move aimed at enhancing efficiency and transparency, Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have launched a new online system for handling passport, visa, and attestation services. This system allows applicants to secure appointments directly through an official portal without incurring any booking fees, streamlining the process and eliminating the need for intermediaries.

The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai are now directly managing these consular services from their respective locations. This change is designed to simplify the application process and prevent unauthorized service charges, ensuring that applicants have a more straightforward and fair experience.

Official statements clarify that the only legitimate way to book appointments for these services is through the designated online portal. Applicants are urged not to engage with individuals or agencies that claim to provide booking or expedited services on behalf of Indian missions, as these are not authorized.

The missions have issued warnings against any organizations or representatives falsely claiming to be sanctioned to offer appointment services. Those who feel they have been deceived, overcharged, or misrepresented are encouraged to report such incidents through the official communication channels provided by the Embassy or Consulate.

Both travelers and Indian nationals residing in the UAE are advised to rely solely on official communications and verified platforms for information regarding consular services. This caution is intended to help them avoid fraud and unnecessary expenses, ensuring that they receive accurate and reliable service.
