As Gaza’s humanitarian crisis deepens, three major Western powers — Canada, the UK, and France — have issued a powerful call for action. In a joint statement, the leaders condemned Israel’s military expansion and warned of direct consequences, including sanctions, if the blockade and offensive continue.
They described the situation as “intolerable,” denouncing Israel’s decision to allow only minimal food aid as insufficient. “We will not stand by,” the statement read, emphasizing that continued violence must stop.
Over the weekend, Israeli forces expanded air and ground assaults and ordered civilians to evacuate Khan Younis. Prime Minister Netanyahu has declared plans to seize control of Gaza entirely and promote the emigration of Palestinians — a move decried as displacement by critics.
The leaders also demanded a halt to West Bank settlement expansion, calling it illegal and damaging to peace.
