The Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan, a campaign spotlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public office, is set to engage communities across India through a motorcycle rally that began on Thursday. As part of this initiative, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the rally in Vadnagar, Gujarat, with a destination of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This event not only celebrates Modi’s political journey but also seeks to connect younger generations with his legacy.
The rally, which coincides with Modi’s 76th birthday, is one of two parallel motorcycle yatras organized under the campaign. The second leg of the journey commenced in Varanasi, flagged off by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and will head towards Vadnagar. Both rallies are scheduled to conclude on October 7, marking the anniversary of Modi’s appointment as Gujarat’s chief minister in 2001.
In total, approximately 300 bikers are participating in each rally, traversing multiple states and villages. This extensive route is designed to bring the story of Modi’s public service to a wide audience, reinforcing the significance of his contributions over the past quarter-century. The initiative underscores the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners’ efforts to celebrate and communicate this milestone nationwide.
Amit Shah emphasized the importance of the campaign as a means to educate and inspire the younger population by showcasing Modi’s achievements and the impact of his leadership. The rallies, which weave through the heart of India, are emblematic of a broader effort to highlight the Prime Minister’s influence and achievements during his tenure in public office.
